This Villa style property, situated just outside the small village of Coulerolles in the Limousin area of France, has been fully equipped to provide luxury accommodation for you to enjoy on your holiday.

On top of this you will have your own lake of over an acre with Carp (Mirror, Common & Grass) to 40lb+ and Catfish to 50lb+ and Roach, Tench and Pike and who knows!. All in all this is a truly glorious setting and we are sure you will not be disappointed.

The property lies in its own grounds of over 5 acres surrounded by fruit trees and fields and there is no other building in sight. It even has a Boules alley for the summer evenings! There is plenty of space for the children to run and play or you can spend as much time as you would like fishing.

The Villa has two patio areas for you to either relax or cook a barbeque. Plus Satellite TV and a games room equipped with a snooker/pool table, darts, table football, table tennis and even a small bar area!

Temperatures in the summer months reach over 30 degrees and in mid-summer it can be light up until around 10.30pm.

We are only around 6 hours drive from Calais or Boulogne. Or you can fly from Stansted or Liverpool to Limoges by Ryanair of by Flybe from Southampton, hire a car and arrive at “La Couarde” in less than 30 minutes.

Hi new venue for 2008
This new and exciting venue is opening mid March 2008, We are now taking bookings for carp fishing holidays in
france throughout 2008.(march to nov)


We have a lake in Burgundy for groups of 4/6 anglers. We are a family run venue & we are
based onsite so we are able to assist you as much as needed.


It is 6.5 acres and has been set up as a runs water (approx 350 carp added to original stock)
They range from doubles up to 45 lb + and there is always lots of action.(20 new 38lb to 44lb stocked Jan 08)
There are 3 double swims, each has a 2.5m x 3.8m cabin 3m from waters edge.
Fitted with 2 single beds 2 ring gas cooker(gas included)and kettle.
Each swim supplied with 2 nets 2 slings and 2 unhooking mats.
There is also 1.5 acres at the bottom end of lake set aside for stalking
Theres a small shop onsite for end tackle,snacks,bait,beer,bread ect
Full food packages and bait packages available.
English Toilet and shower block onsite.
English owned French registered.

CASTAWAY LAKE 1

Castaway Lake 1 is approx. 5 acres in size and is fed by a small stream. It has a wealth of features to challenge the angler, over hanging trees, lily pads and reed beds making it a complete fishing experience and a haven for carp and catfish.
There are two double and one single swim, which are shingled to help prevent any mud being walked into your bivvy . These are set in amongst the trees and as we only have 5 anglers at a time each angler has plenty of lake to themselves
and features to fish to.
The lake is stocked with a good head of commons, mirrors and grass carp to 50lb and catfish in excess of 90lb. In the evening if the catfish are active you will probably hear them slapping their tails to start their feeding frenzy.

To give you even more variety and 'exotic' photos to show your friends, we also have Silver carp the largest weighing 60lbs and 2 of the rare mandarin catfish the largest weighing 80lbs,

We know that a lot of lakes in France have nussiance fish such as poisson chat or crayfish to bother you, but we are very lucky as we do not have
any of these in our lakes.

The depths of the lake range from 3ft to 7ft, and the bottom is mainly silty but also has gravel patches.

Facilities
Ready and waiting for when you arrive.
Bivvy erected at your swim. Also a cooker with gas.
Supplied in the bivvy you will find a bed chair, fishing chair, bivvy table.
All cooking utensils are also provided, plates, cutlery, kettle, saucepans etc.
There is also a 6 berth Willerby mobile home which is available for the use of all anglers. This supplies you with toilet, separate shower room, fridge, hob, microwave and mains water and electric.
This has additional cooking utensils etc.
There is also a bbq.
Please note that we do not supply sleeping bags, or any bed linen, towels etc. in the mobile home, so you will need to provide these for yourself.
The mobile home / car park are withing easy walking distance from each swim.

Location
Castaway Lake 1 is located on the outskirts of the tranquil village of Ajain, which is within walking distance from the lake and has small supermarket, café, bakers, post office and chemist.
The main town of Gueret is approx 10 minutes by car where you will find all the shops, banks, restaurants and Mc'Donalds etc .

CASTAWAY LAKE 2
If you enjoy wildlife, peace and quiet, then this is your dream lake. Approx 11 acres in size and set in the beautiful French countryside nestled amongst fields and forest the only thing to keep you awake at night is the wildlife,
and the slapping of the catfish tails.We know that there are some anglers who would rather use thier own equipment so if you prefer to bring and use your own bivvy etc then you can, or alternatively you can hire it all or some from us.
We have 8 purpose built swims on this lake but only allow 7 anglers. There are 2 double swims and a treble swim with a spare single swim. All swims are within easy walking distance of the caravans and car park, and easily accessible for unloading your gear.
The stock in this lake consists of common and mirror carp to 60lb along with catfish to just over 190lb.There are also 2 mandarin catfish the largest 65lb.The fishing is perfect, with no poisson chat or crayfish to bother you.
There are plenty of features to fish to on the lake, with overhanging trees and reed beds. The depths range from 3ft around the edge to the deepest areas around 12ft.
The bottom of the lake is a sandy bottom with silt areas around the tree lines.


Facilities
For your comfort whilst fishing, we have put on site two 19ft caravans
which provide you with toilet, shower, fridge, hob and oven, hot and cold water.
There is also a bbq.
These caravans are for the use of all anglers on the lake
and are included in the price.

For hire
Bivvy, fishing chair, bed chair, bivvy table.
3 carp rods and bait runner reels, buzzers, pods landing net, unhooking mat,
weighing scales and sling.
2 ring cooker with gas.
These can be hired as a package or as individual items.

Location
Although you feel that you are in the middle of nowhere, in fact only 5 minutes away by car you have the village of Jarnages where there is a bakers, small supermarket, bars and hotel/restaurant, or again the main town of Gueret is 15 minutes along the motorway by car and has a good range of shops, supermarkets, banks etc.
