In the forests of d'Autrey are two stunning lakes. One with tonnes of carp 20lb to 50lb+ in just 11 acres and the other quiet and intimate but well stocked with Cat fish averaging between 50lb to 100lb+.

Etang du Roivre is a fifteen acre estate lake situated in the middle of France’s beautiful Burgundy region which is renowned for its stunning, unspoilt countryside. The lake is over three hundred years old and until we bought it in early 2002 it had been kept as a nature reserve and nobody had been allowed to fish it. It now has a superb stock of very big fish as, detailed in the following pages.

The lake is situated within 33 acres of our own land, all of which is securely fenced to two metres high and you are likely to see Pine-Martens, Red-Kites and Buzzards as well as other native animals. I am pleased to say that any Wild Boar will be outside the fence and therefore harmless. Beyond our boundary there are no main roads, railways or factories, just miles of forest and farmland so, except for the occasional tractor, no obnoxious noises or smells to spoil your stay.

Our experience over the last 10 years has taught us that it isn’t important to have as many lakes in the brochure as possible ; our policy is rather to have only top quality venues for our clients. This means that each destination must level our highest quality standards: a good stock of big and healthy carp, a beautiful nature, a safe venue, English toilet, hot shower and a correct service from the bailiff.

We have carp to almost 50lbs and loads of 30s/40s. There are grass carp to 40lbs and catfish to 70lbs.
