I have fished the old lake many times and have had some good results, a lot of anglers go for the bream, but there is a fair head of carp, and a few barbell to be caught around the back of the island, and one catfish that rarely gets caught, the last time I heard of it coming out it was around the 8lb mark, and this was about 5 years ago. There is a specimen lake up the road from the old lake, which has been open about 3 years have not fished it but I know it was stocked with fish up to 20lbs.
There is also a new lake between these 2 lakes I think is for matches, but have not seen it fished yet. So I cannot give a report!
