Islands and swims / pegs are placed in the exact positions on the lake so that the fisherman knows where he is on the lake and exactly what is around his swim and further out in the lake helping you to identify features and hotspots.

Rookery Meadow is serviced by a private track which runs to a car park adjacent to the lake. It is unlikely that you will see another soul for the duration of your stay (apart from the buzzards circling overhead and the deer coming to drink from the lake).
