Careys Carp Lake

A family owned three acre lake that will give you beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet, and most of all your chance to catch some of the 150 carp that was stocked in the lake on the 5th January 2004. The carp range from 20Ibs to 35Ibs and with a maximum of five swims around the lake.

Moorland Fisheries

Etang du Roivre is a fifteen acre estate lake situated in the middle of France’s beautiful Burgundy region which is renowned for its stunning, unspoilt countryside. The lake is over three hundred years old and until we bought it in early 2002 it had been kept as a nature reserve and nobody had been allowed to fish it. It now has a superb stock of very big fish as, detailed in the following pages.

The lake is situated within 33 acres of our own land, all of which is securely fenced to two metres high and you are likely to see Pine-Martens, Red-Kites and Buzzards as well as other native animals. I am pleased to say that any Wild Boar will be outside the fence and therefore harmless. Beyond our boundary there are no main roads, railways or factories, just miles of forest and farmland so, except for the occasional tractor, no obnoxious noises or smells to spoil your stay.
