Le Chene Vert is a 5 acre lake surrounded by 4 acres of private park and woodland. The lake is stocked with good quality carp to 40lb. The lake itself is fed by 3 natural springs, with an outlet at the lower end ensuring an excellent quality and level of water. This part of Limousin has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty and the countryside is breathtaking and unspoilt.
The number of anglers is limited to 6, and there are no fixed pegs.

THE LAKE
The lake is situated in the Champagne Region of France, just three hours from Calais (257 miles) and is approximately 20 years old. It is very mature with plenty of tree's and bushes surrounding it. The water, 15 - 16 acre's of it, is a fantastic blue colour during the height of summer. With depths of up to 24 ft in the early part of the year only dropping to 22 - 23 feet in the latter part of summer. The lake bed is of a sandy/gravel consistency with lots of interesting features to go at and it isn't full of weed or poisson chat!

THE STOCK
The Carp are fast growing with a good mix of mirrors and commons. The original 20 year old stock of 300 - 400 Carp already go to over 50lbs! In addition we have handpicked a 55lb 5oz Mirror (Ronnie) & (Reggie) a 57lb 4oz Mirror, 8 stunning new forties, a 67Ib catfish and over a ton of Thirties! There is also a fantastic original stock of grass carp to mid 30's to go for.

THE FACILITIES
The lake is fenced where necessary, with a lockable entrance gate for security.
You are able to park at all the swims. Showers, toilets and hand wash basins are available on site. Brick built bar-b-ques and benches are also present in some swims.
We have made some of the swims very comfortable with purpose built decking, while leaving others very natural.

Set in it's own secluded 12 acre parkland, the 4.5 acre spring fed lake is surrounded by beautiful countryside and forests. With opportunities to fish for a variety of species, this lake has a big head of different size fish so there will be plenty of action for all anglers. Wildlife is abundant here with deer and many types of birds, it is very common to see large birds of prey.
