Etang de Janine, our well stocked lake boasts 14 well spaced swims that accommodate a maximum of 10 anglers per week. The lake is situated next to the tranquil river Loir and has been stocked with over 100 target fish, which we added to the existing originals. To help boost the growth levels of the fish we have removed over 3 tonnes of smaller fish. Every year the fishery just gets better and better, a real home from home for the traveling angler, we pride ourselves in forming a mature venue that is set in a very rural part of France, not the typical muddy hole in the ground. The fishery has seen very little pressure over the years and still holds that special air of mystery. The venue has produced fish to mid forties on a regular basis with the average stamp of fish being around the 25lb mark. The lake is feature packed including; numerous bars and gullies, weed beds, plateaus, boulders as well as reed and tree lined margins.

THE LAKE
The lake is situated in the Champagne Region of France, just three hours from Calais (257 miles) and is approximately 20 years old. It is very mature with plenty of tree's and bushes surrounding it. The water, 15 - 16 acre's of it, is a fantastic blue colour during the height of summer. With depths of up to 24 ft in the early part of the year only dropping to 22 - 23 feet in the latter part of summer. The lake bed is of a sandy/gravel consistency with lots of interesting features to go at and it isn't full of weed or poisson chat!

THE STOCK
The Carp are fast growing with a good mix of mirrors and commons. The original 20 year old stock of 300 - 400 Carp already go to over 50lbs! In addition we have handpicked a 55lb 5oz Mirror (Ronnie) & (Reggie) a 57lb 4oz Mirror, 8 stunning new forties, a 67Ib catfish and over a ton of Thirties! There is also a fantastic original stock of grass carp to mid 30's to go for.

THE FACILITIES
The lake is fenced where necessary, with a lockable entrance gate for security.
You are able to park at all the swims. Showers, toilets and hand wash basins are available on site. Brick built bar-b-ques and benches are also present in some swims.
We have made some of the swims very comfortable with purpose built decking, while leaving others very natural.
