Comment: hi to you all, i bought a pondskater orca baitboat recently, the 1st thing you see is a very robust well built boat looks like you could kick it around your garden for an hour and it will still work!!! i have used it and found it very responsive with more than enough power. the hopper looks a bit small at first but when you use it, its more than enough, the trickle or dump design of bait delivery is good too. on return from fishing i decided to strip it, it has all easilly accesable replacable parts, large screws etc so will say on a whole a very good buy, i know it doesn't look like we all think a bait boat should look like but it has so many good fetures one big one being its snag free so you can just launch it under your rod tip and it will just slide past your hanging line, many of my friends get caught up with their boats doing this as most have a cat type twin hull boats with arials, also low hanging branches have nothing to hook into when going into the margings. to sum it up 'its well worth a look'..... Comment: I bought this boat a few weeks ago in Germany for less than 400 Euro! Took it on holiday and had loads of fun with it. The first day I caught a 60 cm carp and two days later one of over 65 cm. It's a great boat! It goes under branches and can sail 200 meter easily. The slide is great. I used wet corn and it scoops it out completely. The boat does get a bit wet inside a bit sometimes, but I think it is condensation and it doesn't bother me. The battery is a bit small. So after 6 or 7 rides the fail safe kicks in. That's a weird experience! It seems not to react to the RC anymore, and then suddenly it comes to life again for 15, 20 seconds. Then stops again wakes up and so on. But it does bring the boat back all the way! The boat is quiet and it looks good! The bad things: the charger gets very warm. But I got a call from the shop that it will be replaced with a new one this week or next week - and I get a free cap and a free book on carp fishing. Another bad thing: the boat is sensitive to interference. But I called the distributor who gave me the phone number of some tech manager of Pondskater who told me that making the antenna longer would help. Which it did.

The Mitchell legend...... began in the heart of the Avre valley in Cluses, France. Cluses, however, was not originally famous for the production of fishing reels. As early as 1720, the city was engaged in the art of clock making. By 1848 the city had become so well-known that a prestigious clockmaking school, l'Ecole d'Horlogerie, was established in Cluses by royal decree. Louis Carpano, one of the first graduates of the school, was highly regarded for making fine quality watch works. After working in a Geneva clockworks factory for a few years, Carpano returned to Cluses and formed a partnership in 1868 with Francois Jacottet. Jacottet's clockmaking factory became Carpano's four years later.
