Carp Fishing on our mature 300 year old 12 acre lake. The lake is surrounded by mature oaks and pines and set in the beautiful Dordogne region. The lake has 10 excellent swims and is substantially snag-free.

Fish Stock
The lake was emptied in December 1998 to register the carp stock. Over 2000 Kg of carp were confirmed, these were in the range of 3 to 14Kgs. There were other carp in the lake that could not be reached that were perhaps in excess of this.

An additional 600 Kgs of carp were introduced ranging from 6 to 13Kgs. This included two superb Koi carp of 10 and 11+ Kgs. We also put in some Catfish of up to 12 Kgs (they're growing fast!).


If you would like a change or prefer to course fish additional to Carp and Catfish the lake contains many other species. Large Pike , Zander and perch are present. Additionally Large Bream , Roach and Rudd abound in the lake. There are no nuisance species such as poisson chat and crayfish.

Today we estimate that the Carp should be in excess of 20 kg and the Catfish could be anywhere up to 40 kg.

Hi new venue for 2008
This new and exciting venue is opening mid March 2008, We are now taking bookings for carp fishing holidays in
france throughout 2008.(march to nov)


We have a lake in Burgundy for groups of 4/6 anglers. We are a family run venue & we are
based onsite so we are able to assist you as much as needed.


It is 6.5 acres and has been set up as a runs water (approx 350 carp added to original stock)
They range from doubles up to 45 lb + and there is always lots of action.(20 new 38lb to 44lb stocked Jan 08)
There are 3 double swims, each has a 2.5m x 3.8m cabin 3m from waters edge.
Fitted with 2 single beds 2 ring gas cooker(gas included)and kettle.
Each swim supplied with 2 nets 2 slings and 2 unhooking mats.
There is also 1.5 acres at the bottom end of lake set aside for stalking
Theres a small shop onsite for end tackle,snacks,bait,beer,bread ect
Full food packages and bait packages available.
English Toilet and shower block onsite.
English owned French registered.

Etang des Royales - The Royal Lake - is a 25 acre French carp fishing holiday complex nestled amongst a forest setting in France and comprises of two well stocked carp fishing lakes. The big lake is 15 acres and has plenty of fish ranging from upper doubles right up to the magic 50lb bracket, with a large number being 40lb+ and the majority over 30lb. Catfish are also swimming around, the biggest caught so far was 72lb. It is suitable for groups or individual anglers. The smaller of the two lakes is 5 acres, approximately 300 carp up to mid 20lb with one mid 40lb amongst them. As many as 20 fish can be caught in a days fishing. It's ideal for the young angler or families because can be hired with the chalet on site.
