Set in it's own secluded 12 acre parkland, the 4.5 acre spring fed lake is surrounded by beautiful countryside and forests. With opportunities to fish for a variety of species, this lake has a big head of different size fish so there will be plenty of action for all anglers. Wildlife is abundant here with deer and many types of birds, it is very common to see large birds of prey. If you are looking for peaceful unspoilt countryside, with breathtaking views this is the place for you.

Etang du Roivre is a fifteen acre estate lake situated in the middle of France’s beautiful Burgundy region which is renowned for its stunning, unspoilt countryside. The lake is over three hundred years old and until we bought it in early 2002 it had been kept as a nature reserve and nobody had been allowed to fish it. It now has a superb stock of very big fish as, detailed in the following pages.

The lake is situated within 33 acres of our own land, all of which is securely fenced to two metres high and you are likely to see Pine-Martens, Red-Kites and Buzzards as well as other native animals. I am pleased to say that any Wild Boar will be outside the fence and therefore harmless. Beyond our boundary there are no main roads, railways or factories, just miles of forest and farmland so, except for the occasional tractor, no obnoxious noises or smells to spoil your stay.
