This 3.5 acre lake is undoubtedly one of the prettiest, most tranquil lakes in the region. Its banks are surrounded by mixed woodlands that are home to a vast array of wildlife, including barn owl, woodpecker, deer and fox. The lake too holds its share of wild inhabitants with several species of duck, Heron, kingfisher, a few geese and last year, a pair of black swans. With the lake being surrounded by trees, Autumn time brings not only one of the most colourful times of the year to the lake but also one of the most important. As the trees mass of leaves fall, many find their way into the lake, forming over the years, a black, silt bottom that is enriched with bloodworm and other insect larvae. The fish in the lake are predominantly CARP, with a large head of doubles and enough twenties to keep you happy. The biggest to date is 28.2lb common. Also in the lake is Roach (to OVER 2lb), Bream (to 8lb),Tench (to 7lb), Rudd, and pike to over 20lb.

The Watermark Fisheries

The Watermark Specimen Fisheries in Gloucestershire offer a diverse range of angling experiences specialising in Trout and Carp fishing. From the inland sea that is the famous Bradley's Fishery with carp to 40lb+ to the intimate Specimen lake of four and a half acres with it's large head of quality carp to 35lbs+, tench to double figures, crucians to 2lb+ and perch to over 5lb!

Our other mature gravel pits offer exclusive winter pike fishing opportunities with No. 6 having brilliant pike fly fishing in summer. All the Watermark fisheries are mature, non-pressured and intimate waters with exceptional water quality and clarity. Superb for the serious specimen hunter or the discerning all rounder. Secure car parking is adjacent to the fully stocked tackle shop. Toilet and shower facilities are also part of the angling experience at The Watermark Fisheries.

Orchid Lakes

Orchid Lakes has a long history and fine reputation for providing carp angling and has a reputation second to none. Last year 117 30's were landed along with hundreds of fish up to 30lbs. All 30lb carp are photographed by myself or one of my bailiffs night or day regardless of the time.

Club Lake - At just under 2 acres, the holds an abundant supply of just about everything including catfish to just under 30lbs. It has been recently stocked with over 2 tons of fish and with 40 pegs it is an ideal venue for match fishing.
